Togetherness at Cleeve House

This year’s May Bank Holiday Retreat at Cleeve House in Wiltshire had its highest attendance so far. What was immediately striking was how quickly the feeling of togetherness came so soon after people had arrived. This was the fourth time we had been at Cleeve House and the build-up of energy that had occurred over the previous years contributed to this feeling of oneness.

The Retreat created the space for everyone to dive deeper into their own connection with Amma; deeper than they can alone. There was a flow. All the main factors worked in its favour: the peacefulness of the house, the scenery, the good weather, and the food produced by the participants. These along with the chanting and singing created that atmosphere that we normally experience when we are around Amma.

Spiritual and Meditative Retreat July 2009

Date & venue: 10 - 12 July (Friday evening to Sunday pm) Sunningdale, Berkshire

Cost: £65 in dorm-style accommodation £55 camping (food included)

Although the house is now full, there are still a few spaces available for camping. During the weekend there will be time to meditate, chant, practice yoga, and enjoy wonderful vegetarian food. Sunningdale House is set in five acres of glorious gardens and is very attractive and peaceful.
