Amma's 2017 UK Visit
Helpers Needed for London Programme
“Those who perform selfless actions don’t have to tire themselves looking for God anywhere, for God’s true shrine is the heart of the person who performs selfless service.” – Amma
Amma's London visit would not take place without the dedication and service of many volunteers from all walks of life. We need people to help out in many areas: Food preparation and serving, Washing Up, Greeting and Stewarding, Cloakroom, Preparing Flowers, as well as more specialised areas such as Drivers, Massage therapists and Electricians. Any service, no matter how much makes a huge difference to the programme, so please do get in touch!
How to volunteer? If you can commit to several hours during the programme, and for a fuller list of areas where help is needed, please register in advance on the Registration Form. For enquiries, email email@example.com. If you would like to help during the time you spend with Amma, even for just a couple of hours, please come to the Seva (Volunteer) Desk when you arrive and we will find something suitable for you.

Home-Grown Meal at Amma's programme
Have you been growing food in your garden this year which you would like to donate to help make a meal at Amma's visit? If you wish to bring some along with you to be used in a meal, please contact Kaivalya at email@example.com with type and quantity.
For the past three years, a meal has been cooked with food grown by Amma’s devotees. This began when a group of Greenfriends went up to Amma during the programme with a basket of home-grown fruit and veg from all corners of the country. We wanted to ask for her blessings to start cooking meals at the programmes with food grown by her devotees. She was incredibly happy, picking up a variety of vegetables including a huge pumpkin which she held over her head. Amma even took a potato and an apple back to her room!
At this stage, as we are getting bigger, it would be better to bring just a small offering, so to ensure as many devotees’ offerings can be used in the meal as possible. As the years go by and more and more of Amma’s children want to get involved we may eventually be able to provide a meal or more each day.
Cake and cookie baking
We are asking everyone to bake cookies and cakes to be sold at the AYUDH café and the Juice Bar. It doesn't matter how few or how many. All are welcome! Please bake in advance and bring to the programme and include a full list of ingredients. It would be very helpful if they could be approximately the same size and measure approx 12cm across (like the cookies available in supermarkets). This will help with pricing. Chocolate chip, ordinary, anything you feel like doing will be gratefully accepted! Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements for delivery or more information.
The Juice Bar will be selling vegan, egg-free and gluten-free cakes. For advice on baking, please contact Roz email@example.com. Bring to the programme along with a full list of ingredients.
Massage therapists with certificates and insurance are needed for the massage area. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org in good time (i.e. now), as applying for a licence from the council takes time. Please bring your own massage tables/futons if possible.
